What you need to know

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field (completed by June 2021)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Relevant coursework in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, biological psychology, statistics
  • Prior experience as a research assistant in a laboratory studying human cognition, conducting research that is related to the work conducted in the Anderson lab

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Some knowledge of programming
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Eyelink 1000, SPSS, and Microsoft Excel

  • Conduct of research (post study fliers and announcements, screen participants, schedule participants, data collection)
  • Administrative responsibilities (manage RAs and coordinate RA schedules, instruct RAs in the conduct of research, interface with the IRB, maintain data and other lab records, assist with the reporting of research outcomes to funding agencies and other organizations)
  • Study development (assist with the programming of experiments, the development of study protocols)
  • Reporting of research (assist with the conduct of literature reviews, data analysis, reporting of results in research manuscripts)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
