Arizona State University
Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites applications for a Faculty Associate within the department’s Master’s program in Addiction Psychology (MS AP). The MS in addiction psychology program pairs state-of-the-art research from internationally-recognized experts in addictions with clinical expertise from licensed psychologists and licensed addiction counselors with decades of experience providing addiction treatment. This program prepares students to pursue state licensure and become addiction counselors.

The successful candidate(s) will teach master’s courses in addiction psychology; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. The College values our cultural and intellectual diversity, and continually strives to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of the academic community.

Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is $5,000 per course. Appointments are often renewed, contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the unit. Anticipated start date is January 2024.
