Company Overview
The Mission of Correctional Health Services is to provide evidence-based, medically necessary, integrated healthcare to patients in the County Jails so that they can proceed through the judicial system. Services are provided to an average daily population of over 8000 individuals; with approximately 120,000 booked annually, thus becoming our patients.
Healthcare services begin in our Intake Clinic which is similar to an emergency room, where patients are initially brought in for evaluation. Medical, Dental and Mental Health services are then continued in any one of our 6 ambulatory Out Patient Health Clinics, our 60 bed Infirmary (in-patient) and our 260 bed In-patient Mental Health Housing Unit. These are state of the art facilities and provide a safe, secure and well-equipped working environment for both detention and healthcare staff.
Correctional Health Services employees more than 400 individuals including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counselors, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Correctional Health Technicians (Medical Assistants) as well as variety of clinical and office support staff.
