Company Overview
St. Mary's Medical Group is physician-led, which means the decisions you make for your patients and for the group are made in concert with the hopsital, and not by the hospital. Operations and administration maintain roles that are designed to support you in every way possible, but the true leadership comes from you, the physician.

Company History
1872
Daughters of Charity were asked to establish the first community hospital in Evansville, Indiana. They established St. Mary's Hospital using an abandoned marine hospital on the Ohio River in Evansville.
1894
A new St. Mary's Hospital was built at First Avenue and Columbia Street in Evansville.
1956
St. Mary's Hospital relocated to the east side of Evansville and still stands on the same ground on Washington Avenue.
2004 and future
St. Mary's Health continues to grow, expanding many services and serving in many tri-state locations.
