ALL SAINTS SUMMER CAMP is faith-based youth camp in the Episcopal tradition. We have 3 - 1 week sessions in June. Each session is Sunday through Saturday.
ALL SAINTS SUMMER CAMP is looking for talented, caring, and dedicated people to spend your summer guiding, caring for, and having a great time with youth campers of various ages during summer camp.
What do Camp Counselors do?
Most importantly of all, Camp Counselors create genuine relationships with the youth in your charge while ensuring their safety at all times. During each week of camp, you will supervise your campers, eat meals with them, oversee and encourage their participation in all camp activities, help them build friendships, and work through conflicts.
Requirements
The job duties of a Camp Counselor include:
- accompanying campers to all activities.
- educating, encouraging, and engaging children and teenagers,
- planning summer camp games, setting up equipment or supplies for scheduled activities, and working with your your campers to keep their respective spaces clean and organized.
- Being reliable, attentive to campers’ needs, and the ability to build good relationships with children and youth are essential traits of an ALL SAINTS Camp Counselor.
- Having knowledge around outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and outdoor games will an asset.
Being able to attend pre-camp staff training which includes Saturday morning zoom meetings (Saturday, March 14-May 16) and on-site staff training beginning Saturday May 30.
***The ideal candidate is grounded in his/her faith, has solid conflict resolution skills, is patient, creative, energetic, and independently structured.
