Description
We're recruiting Forensic and Clinical Psychologists at the New Mexico Department of Health, Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Salary: up to $191,200+
Ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with Interdisciplinary treatment plan assessments;
- Experience with preparing legal documentation;
- Experience with policies, procedures, and processes for patient care;
- Experience with guardianship appointments for patients.
This does not include additional compensation accrued or paid for on-call service.
License-eligible applicants may apply for these positions.
Health professional loan-repayment program exists with New Mexico Higher Education Department.
Hospital location approximately 65 miles from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and 75 miles from Taos, NM.
11 paid holidays and 2 paid personal days per year.
Multiple medical coverage plans offered, along with dental and vision; 80% of healthcare premiums are paid by the state.
Defined-benefit pension plan offered at 2.5% accrual rate with vesting after 5 years of employment.
Licensed psychologists employed full-time at the state hospital are eligible for a $5,000 rural health care practitioner income tax credit.

Requirements
Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Psychologist Examiners and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required experience.
