Located on a beautiful 100+ acre campus in Belle Mead, our serene and therapeutic environment is the ideal setting for healing and recovery. We are seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our specialized inpatient and residential programs. You will play a crucial role in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of adolescents aged 12-17. This is an opportunity to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care within a structured, therapeutic milieu designed to help young people return to their communities and thrive.
THE OPPORTUNITY: As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescents experiencing acute mental health crises.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, formulating diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients in our adolescent inpatient unit.
- Leading ongoing care management, including admissions, discharges, and medication management.
- Providing crisis intervention and stabilization for a wide range of acute psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, certified alcohol and drug counselors, nurses, and educational staff to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
- Actively participating in treatment team meetings and engaging with families to provide updates, support, and education.
- Working closely with our on-site East Mountain School to coordinate academic support and ensure a seamless transition for patients.

OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS:
- M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Must hold or be eligible for a New Jersey Medical License, CDS, and DEA.
COMPENSATION:
Starting Base Salary: $257,960

Education and Certifications: Degrees attained, residencies, fellowships, board certifications, research, and publications.
Productivity: Levels of productivity, quality and patient satisfaction.
Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
