Company Overview
Harbor, a major provider of behavioral health and counseling, serves over 23,000 individuals per year, with approximately 650 staff and a budget of approximately $32 million. Harbor continues to be the largest mental health provider in Northwest Ohio offering services including Medicaid Health Home, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, adult day habilitation and integrated health care. In 2014, Harbor celebrated its 100th year anniversary. Harbor merged with Behavioral Connections of Wood County in July of 2014 and shortly after, formed a Joint Operating Company with ProMedica Health Systems.
Along with family, individual and group counseling, Harbor provides a number of specialized programs and services including Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Treatment, Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST), Community Based Therapy, school based achievement program in partnership with Toledo Public Schools, treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism, prevention and education for substance use, psychological testing and psychiatric evaluations. Harbor’s vocational department, Career Connections, is also the largest provider of vocational services in Lucas County and the second largest provider of such services in the 22 county northwest Ohio regions. In addition, Harbor is the area’s largest provider of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to area businesses.
