The Mental Health Program at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) is committed to being the regional leader in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families. To support the continued growth and expansion of the mental health services, the Psychiatry and Psychology Division of Children’s Specialty Group (CSG) is recruiting highly qualified psychologists passionate about improving the lives of youth to join our team at CHKD.
Staff psychologists at CHKD provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic services across a continuum of care, including outpatient, inpatient (psychiatric and medical), and intensive services. In coordination and partnership with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members, psychologists play a vital role in assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of care tailored to the developmental and clinical needs of patients and families. Psychologists are integral to clinical program development and may have opportunities to be involved in training of various types and levels of learners. Faculty appointments at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University are available for qualified individuals.

Qualifications:
A doctoral degree from an APA/CPA accredited program in clinical, school, or counseling psychology with specialized, child-focused training; Completion of an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship that included training with child/adolescent populations; Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric or child clinical psychology is preferred; Licensure or license-eligibility in Virginia

Children’s Specialty Group, PLLC (CSG) is a physician-owned group whose mission is to provide high-quality healthcare to children and adolescents, train future clinicians, and conduct research to improve children’s health.
